    Hello All,

After 8 days of waiting, I got my passport back today with the marriage visa! Thanks for everyone's help and to those who listed every single document they included in their successful application.

I do have a question on the validity. The start date is on the 5th of march but I already booked a flight months ago for the 3rd of march. I understand that the marriage visa isn't valid until the 5th but I do have another visit visa that's valid until 2019.

Am I able to enter the UK using the visa that is valid?

I can't answer your question but you've done CFO right?

Im guessing your visit visa would be good to go actually if it is multi-entry.

I've just called the UK visa hotline number.

It seems that I can enter the UK before the 5th with my other valid visa but that would mean that before we can give notice or get married, I would have to re-enter the UK using the Marriage visa.

Entering the UK with the visa that is valid is fine, but then they wouldn't have any record of me entering as a fiancee and may have problems when I apply for my FLR (m). Which makes sense. So I am know trying to move my flight with etihad. :frust:

I would've thought if you enter on tourist visa you will have to leave the UK again and re enter when the marriage visa is valid so I think you have to rebook your flight at least to be sure.
