Nice to run through the postings again and read the interesting questions / answers again.
I'm sorry but I had forgotten i was a member here,..ever so long ago.. but good to be back and see there are still some old favourites still here and helping out. I won't mention the ones I remember because i probably will forget some and I'll be blacklisted before I get started.
Whats happened to myself over the past few years then ?
Well, I'm still very happily married to my beautiful wife, we have two lovely kids, a girl of 8 and a boy of 5.
Eleven year anniversary approaching in October this year, how time flies,...can still remember applying for our fiancee visa in 2005 before nervously flying over to bring her home to Scotland to start a new life for us both.
I must admit that I'm a great believer in fate,.. where we met, how we met , things we done,... and also our failed attempt to sell up here and move to Cebu two years ago ! We nearly got there,..so near infact that we had our furniture packed into storage, flights booked, container bought , leaving / goodbye parties held and cars/vans sold.
The house was almost sold,..almost,..haha,.. everything barr the final signature, then boom,...it fell through due to no fault of our own and to cut a long story short,....we never went ! We had to un-pack most of our household goods so that we could celebrate Christmas in the next month or so, how depressing that was, we were looking forward to spending our first Christmas in our house in Cebu. We managed to have a good time , mostly for the kids but as the time has passed we have slowly realised that moving over to the small village on the island of Cebu would not have been the greatest of plans after all.
I think we can honestly say that for all the faults of the UK and Scotland, we still feel that living here for the time being is best for our family..
So here I am back on the forum again,... saying hello to the original members and all the newer ones too,

    Happy days,

    Jonny.

Hello jonny, welcome back. Must have been an expensive nightmare two years ago, but good to know that things worked out for the best.
