The hotel is central, with restaurants and a couple of nice bars only about 10 minutes walk from the front door, or if you want to take a taxi to Ayala or SM malls it will cost only about 70 pesos.

I was recommended it by an american friend of mine, Rob might remember him from the old ASAWA forum as MASTERDECKER, and so far we went there 3 times, without any major complaints.
We also had our wedding reception there, and it went really well, despite more strangers turning up than invitees.....

The place is clean and tidy, although it could do with a lick of paint in places, but the price is right, the area it is in quite decent for Cebu City, tucked away in a side street, slightly off the major traffic routes and noise.
They do have a swimming pool in the garden, and to be perfectly honest we never used it as we were too busy doing the touristy thing:D.

The staff are very helpful and seem to be on the ball all the time, none of that endemic slowcoach attitude.

One tip..... The key fob activates the room electricity by inserting it into a slot in the wall, I found that by leaving something flat inside said slot keeps the aircon on all the time, thus avoiding having to wait for ages for the room to cool down after one gets back to it after shopping or whatever.....

We will definitively stay there again...:like:

Just had a two day stay at this hotel and I would also recommend it as a cheap hotel!

Myself and Joy got a taxi to Metro Park and without a reservation got a room with a double bed for 900 pesos a night (£13.25 roughly), the room had a fairly quiet Aircon as well as cable TV, a refridgerator which we did not use and a nice bathroom which had a hot and cold shower - well nice and warm if not hot. Having not had a hot shower in over a month I enjoyed this experience the most for the price, I spent more in Valencia and had a cold shower.

Surprisingly, there were no cockroaches or other nasties awaiting me. Surprising as the door to the balcony has a huge draft area that a kitten could crawl under. I guess these rooms are cleaned and fumigated often...

The breakfast was extra but reasonable, I had toast and jam, eggs and bacon. Did not try dinner here as Pizza Hut was calling;)

A short walk away there are a few bars and restaurants as Dom described, I only went to Tonyo's, which is a restobar under a large tent. Though the ice cold San Mig Lights, Clubhouse Sandwich and live band made me quickly realise this place is popular. And soon after that thought, numerous Koreans, Americans, as well as others came by to enjoy the evening. I did not stay too long but I can imagine this place fills up quickly and is very reasonably priced:like:

Now the bad... This hotel is located down an alley! so it is not exactly placed in a great spot and if you go for a walk and get lost down these alleyways then it could become scary for a tourist. Also, the security guard has a scam going with a friend who will become the "Official Hotel" taxi, this was a red car and not metered and a journey costing 80 pesos becomes 120 pesos (though he does not carry change and so you will - like me - pay more and he will keep the change). I paid 150 pesos when I expected to pay 100 pesos including a tip, this was about 80p so no big loss, though it is the principle that peeved me off..
