Thank you. I'm a bit nervous. I submitted my application on the 17th of March and biometrics 28th of March and I got a decision today. Waiting time is 12 working days. I followed what AndyRam told me in filling in the online forms and what to put in the cover letter.
Pretty fast PatVen Residence cards are taking 6 months in the UK once you have the FP your hubby should take preliminary steps to get your name on his Council Tax bill and utilities as soon as possible after you arrive (if not before) so you will have some letters with both names on ready for the RC application in the UK
I didn't expect I get this decision sooner than expected. I'm still waiting for the second email from VFS today. Hopefully, I can collect my documents tomorrow with the visa in it. God Please... Thank you KeithAngel for the advance info. I will tell hubby about this. I'll keep you posted on the progress of my papers.
I was surprised because the Home Office mentioned that most applications made in February took 60 working days for non-settlement visas. However, VFS mentioned that non-settlement applications are processed within 15 working days. I really prayed last Sunday when I was in church to have a decision this week. And to my surprise, prayers granted. It's good because it shortened the agony of waiting. So I will know what to do next.
With this EU thing, I now understand the reason my husband never applied for a British Passport though both of his Grandparents were born before the formation of Irish Republic in 1948 and have been in the British Army.
