ok so I'm board in my cage all day so I want to take mrs gorilla out of the UK what country could I take her to with out a visa so Europe is out. I don't want to go to Asia either as we will pop back to the Philippines in March. All suggestions please one bored gorilla
I see the Maldives is on the list. It is expensive to island hop and scuba dive but there are so many beautiful islands there. On arrival, they confiscate any bottles of alcohol you are bringing in with you, a crafty ploy to get tourists to buy their spirits at exorbitant prices in the resorts. It is a Muslim country but they make money on thirsty travellers. I went there once, just arrived in the Capital, Male, got a taxi to where the boats where tied up at the jetty and got the address of the office in town. Paid the fee and was on a dive boat same day. Some people go on boats to island hop too and no need to get a hotel but I didn't have a wife in tow to get worried about what will happen when arriving back then.
