The very first music (record) I ever bought (paid for) was The Beatles 'Rubber Soul' album in 1965
I just played that record over and over again.

The second record I ever bought was 'Hey Joe' by Jimi Hendrix. That was 1966 and was his first ever single.

The first two Sean are excellent, wow trying to find You-Tube vids that's a challenge ;) I'll try my best my tastes are rather eclectic. :)

The obvious ones are the ones I don't really like anymore like Genesis

So I need to find the following

    (no particular order)

    Eric Bogle
    Gerry Rafferty and the Humbebums
    Horslips
    Barclay James Harvest
    Hawkwind (saw them in 1975)
Findogask (the original folk band not the current ones)
    Supertramp

    and many many more. :)

Getting late tonight I'll try and find some tomorrow if I can. :like:

Youth, ah.....a long time ago now.......off the top of my head:

(sorry no YouTube links - no time at present)

    Pink Floyd
    Man
    Can
    Neu!
    Allman Brothers
    Steely Dan
    Captain Beefheart
    Rory Gallagher

so many more.......funny thing is, these bands are still played a lot now :like:

Hawkwind with Stacia dancing on the stage back in '73, now that opened many young boy's eyes ;)

I remember in 2000 waiting for Nick Turner to turn up from Hawkwind to arrive at the Big Greenhe was the last of the bands to arrive He would either show up alone or with a cast of thousands anyway he pulls up to the gate alone on his motorbike and forgetting apparently to put his feet down and promtly falls over much to our amusement took 3 of us to get him out from under

I will join in when i regain utube acsess should be a great thread

I'm going to make another attempt to embed a video clip

This video represents my youth in many ways.
The song (still a favourite of mine) is called 'In My Life' and is a genuine poignant reminder for me.

You can use the URL from that too, another way is in advanced reply where you man manage uploads. Though, that method makes the image smaller and I personally prefer the other method for my posts... But then, some images don't really need to be kept at a bigger size.
