Congratulations. Have you collected her BRP card? Apply for NI card. Without it you may meet some resistance to right to work but she does have the right( there is a website employers can use to check)
Bank account some banks suggest she needs to be in .uk for 6 months Nationwide offer basic flexaccount.
When my wife got here around about this time in 2015 we just said we would wait till after Christmas 15 before we did anything.
A bit boring perhaps but I used to set her tasks to help her settle in and work on her English.
Example write down 5 places in the UK you would like to visit and why?
    That sort of stuff

With Covid as well you need to take extra care.
    Enjoy is the main thing

If you are Lloyds, open a joint account for both of you. This is easy as you already have an account there.

Then she can easily open her own account as she is also a holder there.

(May work in other banks too. I say Lloyds because that was where I was and what we did - recommended by the bank themselves when we asked).

That’s odd! A week after I arrived here in the U.K. in July 2009 under a spouse visa, I called and requested for a National Insurance. And I was asked only what type of visa do I have. And I received my National Insurance card within a week.

when we first met--my ( now ) wife was here on a student visa--and working 21 hours a week as part of her nvq course. she was here 4 years. 2008-2012. she had an NI number and could work here legally. she paid NI and income tax.

she got her fiancee visa and arrived back in 2016. after we married she applied for first FLR--got her brp and started work immediately. ( july 2016 ). the following year she had a nice fat tax refund for her 2012 year.
