Why don't you volunteer to work for free at a charity shop for a while, to get some UK work experience on your resume. Perhaps that would help you to get started?
Hi Joanna, welcome aboard British Filipino Sometimes it can be tough to find a job. Usually around this time of year many organisations are hiring staff for Christmas. Sometimes it can lead to something more permanent so keep a look out for those. Have you registered at any agencies yet ? They often offer a good variety of temp assignments which can lead to to permanent positions. I do hope you have a lucky break soon.
Hi guys thanks to all of you, will try /go /do all ur advices, hopefully i can find job asap.. Thank you Please any one if near only here at knebworth let me know, im really looking for new friends around here..
Welcome to the forum @Mrs.Washy. It is tough trying to get a job and you have to be prepared for lots of refusals. Have you looked on the government's Job Search website? https://www.gov.uk/jobsearch
Always irritates me that. Why should the staff work for free when the directors of the charities skim off large amounts of cash for their overly generous salaries and expense accounts? What happened to the minimum wage? And don't get me started on the latest UK "5p for charity" carrier bag scam.
