Its been talked about for quite a few years now, but at last, theres a new pretty decent hotel opening in the Robinsons Shopping Mall complex just outside Tacloban. Its part of the Go Hotels Philippines franchise, and the page for the Tacloban hotel is http://gohotels.ph/tacloban With Free-wifi (something I never experienced in any other Tacloban's hotels), LCD Cable TV, free parking, online booking and all the places to eat in the adjacent Robinsons Mall. The prices seem really cheap as well - 588php promo for Sept to November - will be staying at this place next time were in country rather than the usual at Alejandros.
I have always stayed at Alejandro's except one time when it was booked out for a conference and I spent the night in an awful place down near the hospital, although I find it rather boring Alejandro's is fine for overnight stays whilst in transit....I will definately try and book into this new place when I return in Dec/Jan.
Nice one Rob, I saw the signs for this place while it was being built when we where last there. Be interesting to get a first hand opinion of it from someone.
