Hello all. I'm glad I found this site as I have questions like everyone else who joins.
I will marry in Manila next February and my wife will apply for the spouse visa.
I am familiar with all the requirements, but the question about proof of accommodation and details and information about myself seem a bit vague.
I would appreciate any help with regard to applying for this visa.

    Martin.

Thanks Timmers. I forgot to add that I flew to the Philippines in June this year on my remaining eight days holiday , to meet my girlfriend. We met online in early March this year.
At the time of my wife's visa application next year, do you know if she will attend an interview please?
Is it also a condition that she is working at that time? She has been in employment permanently since December 2014, but is not happy in her job.

Welcome to the forum. No its not a condition that she be working indeed her income is not taken into account at all. it's very unlikely that she will be interviewed by the UKVI staff. In terms of information about accommodation you should provide either deeds of your house and a floor plan if you own it, or rental agreement and permission from the landlord that she can stay if you are renting. If the house is small and the number of people in it comparatively large then you would be wise to have a survey done for immigration purposes to prove that it is not overcrowded as defined by the housing act. You will also have to provide a certified copy of your passport if you are a British citizen and the relevant financial documents. Finally you will need to include details of your relationship such as a copy of your marriage certificate, photos of you together and copies of passport entry stamps and flight tickets.

Choi and John, many thanks for your comprehensive reply. This, and information from Micawber on the forum covers all my questions except one.
How does my wife prove to the ECO that she intends staying with me once in the UK?

She doesn't have to prove that.

None of us know if our wives' are going to stay with us :D

Thanks Timmers. It seemed a stupid statement to put on their website. (Gov.uk).

You may be getting mixed up, as part of the FLR application you have to prove that your wife is living with you, that takes the form of submitting personal and joint letters that you have received. In your case you will marry in the Philippines, bring her here to the UK on a spouse visa and you wont have to apply for a FLR(M) for 2.5 years.

If you're applying for a spouse visa then you do not need to submit a SU07, its for other types of visas for example dependent relative.

By the way Martin, when you apply for the spouse visa most of us here submitted a personal letter of support stating that we would be looking after the financial needs and accommodation needs of our loved ones. In addition to that a lot of us submitted a joint letter stating where we met, how we kept in touch, times together and plans for the future in the UK.

    Every little helps :)

Timmers, thank you for the reply and help. It's very much appreciated.
I will contribute likewise, once I have my mahal ko safely it the UK.

I would like to post up the final lists for my wife to be, and myself, and would be grateful if you and all the other very helpful people on here could check to see if we have missed anything.

    Martin.

Hello good people again. Does my fiancée need to be employed until securing the spouse visa please?
