Hi everyone I'll be in the UK on a student visa next year. Do you know of a cheap accommodation in Surrey for students? (a room for let by Filipino family is a bonus!) Is there a Filipino community near or in Surrey i can get connected with? I have no relatives in the UK and friends are quite far from where I'll be staying so I hope to find a friendly bunch in here. Thanks very much.

Welcome to the forum Fluffy You will more than likely find yourself in a house share with fellow students, or in University linked housing (these are usually obtained through the university and they should have a housing office). I would recomend you move into something run by the University if possible at first, that then allows you to get the feel for the area and make new friends, people you might move in with the following year. See this link for more about Uni housing I've assumed you were looking at Surrey University, if you will be studying elswhere this can affect your choice.
