As Mr. Barnum used to say......... It is true, people don't learn from other people's mistakes. I am astounded by so much stupidity shown by those idiots thinking that they can get away from carrying drugs over borders. Do they really think that the death penalty is not deterrent enough...??? They actually execute drug smugglers in some asian countries........ Maybe if Britain would adopt some of the harsher penalties, without recurring to the ultimate one, possibly crime would be showing not to pay, and the rates may well go down... Our judges have the hands tied behind their backs sometime, but more often than not they seem to side for the offenders...
It amazes me sometimes how people consider being a drugs mule to some of these countries an option for getting some quick money, No matter how badly I needed some cash I would never go down that route, it is just a very stupid thing to do.. That said, I wonder how many people took stuff overseas not knowing that there were drugs involved for say "Pasalubong"?
