I've been looking at OrbitRemit recently as a potential means to send money to the Philippines and was wondering if any of you guys have used them?

Their rates look slightly better than those of World Remit, but they also charge a little less to transfer if the money is less than £200 as they charge £5 (compared to the World Remit fee of £5.99), but over £200 and they charge £7 which is exactly 1 pence more than the World Remit £6.99!

So really it all comes down to service. How do they compare?

Has anyone had any bad experiences with them? Can they be trusted?

Never used them before. I tend to stick with IRemit because I'm always pretty happy with their service and their rate is always pretty good and the money always gets their on time. This is the current exchange rate of three of the companies and currently IRemit comes out on top although I'm sure it's swings and roundabouts when you take account of the charges.

    Orbit Remit 65.50
    IRemit 66.40

Been using worldremit lately, and as canna grumble about it due to good speed of delivery and service, I am not really experimenting a lot...

I've used them for a couple of years and never had a problem. Transferring from Natwest to a BDO account or pick up is usually completed in the nest working day. I think every tenth payment is free.

I've also used them for the last few years and never had any issues and usually processed within 24 hours
