Hi everyone I took the Life in the UK test last year around November just after I got my FLR granted. I know it’s too early to take it but I thought I’d get it out of the way as early as possible so I don’t have to worry about it anymore. To prepare for it, I ordered the official book on Amazon and read the whole thing. After reading it all I did a lot of mock tests online. I found a site online that people claimed to be effective in preparing for the test. True enough all the questions that was there actually came out on the test. The test is easy especially if you read the book, I wouldn’t worry about remembering all the dates in the book. This is the link of the site I am talking about: https://lifeintheuktestweb.co.uk/british-citizenship-test-1/ I suggest you take the Exams 1-15. In my experience, all the questions on the actual test was from that website which was really useful for me. I knew I was ready to take the exam when I answered all the questions correctly from the mock exam 1-15. Just keep repeating the test until you perfect it all and then you know you are ready. Hope this helps. PS. I hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
I took mine last 2019 of Jan. Even didn't need it until next year. I didn't buy any books, I just study the questioner using the site that you mention and I did pass ( luckily) . Now, I need to take my English B1 on August
not listed on the uk gov site. there is a distance learning thing operating there--but dont think its a test center
at a glance--it looks like the life in the uk test can be taken in portsmouth--the fee is 79 pounds. https://www.englishtestuk.co.uk/life-in-the-uk or is this either out of date--or the wrong thing?
yes--i phoned up the place in portsmouth--and mentioned this. guy said they are a private business and their charge includes learning aids and the test fee--and it is 100% accepted.
i'm just a bit twitchy about using a place that may not be on the official list any more. but it wont be for a long while yet. so it can all change again.
There's plenty of test centres. My wife took hers in Oxford. If you study it enough you can be in and out in 10 minutes.
