Passport application submitted 13 January, old passport returned and new passport arrived today. I make that 10 days. Only thing is, aren’t passports supposed to be red? Is that what Brexit was all about, black passports? What a palaver.
The pre-EC British passports were black (or very dark blue ?) , as are the post-Brexit ones... as with my latest one.
Consider yourself lucky to have received it within that time frame. One of my ex colleagues and his wife have been waiting for about 11 weeks and had to cancel their yearly Christmas weeks long visit to retired relatives in Florida.
The New UK passport is recognised as a shade of blue in colour not black and have always been recognised by UKGOV as a shade of blue pre and post brexit https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-51737116.amp
Anyway this morning, I realised why some of these old guys (none of whom I recognise...) are sometimes waving at me ... They can't see, think I'm someone else
My first (adult) one was a white cardboard one... for visiting certain countries only. Anyone remember them ?
No but I do remember my first one having a little yellow book stapled inside in it with my inoculation record.
I think it was during the early days of UK's EC membership. You could use it to go to some European countries...for me, those were the Canaries, plus Italy. Then I finally got round to getting a 'proper' passport (and bought my first camera) for my first visit to the Phils.
Think this was probably it... I thought it was issued by British Airways but I think they just had an office in London that used to give you the jabs and then you got this WHO book stuck inside your passport I'm having a good day - Wordle in 2 Tax Return in 30 minutes - probably coz I don't have much to put in it Seriously, scumbags in the uk or wot the allowance has been stuck on £12,570 for 3 years now !
