We had a trip to one of our Asian shops last week and my wife put a box of these in the basket. Didnt think much of it till at the checkout I noticed they were £6.00 for the 355g box. I asked the (Thai) checkout girl why and she said they were imported from the USA. My wife has promised me not to buy them again. They taste OK, peanutty, but after all its a box of cereal. :D

Sometimes you've got to pay over the odds for imports. Do you know how much I'd pay if I lived in the Philippines or USA for some crumpets????

I quite like them. But surely there must be a UK version somewhere?

How long did it take them to launch Oreo's in the UK? I used to have to get them from import shops years ago, but once enought people could be relied upon to buy a product upon launch. Then these companies happily produce them here in the UK as well.

We've only just got Kelloggs Fruit Loops!

When I was a kid we were able to get Doctor Pepper even though it wasn't available in UK shops. How? Well I used to live in a village which housed the largest single storey building in Europe. That building was part of an Air Force base that was patronised by the Americans, namely RAF Burtonwood. Well of course there was a small fenced estate which housed all the American personnel and they had their own shop just to remind them of home, hence the Doctor Pepper :)

Incidentally I went to Ikea (fringes of Burtonwood) the other week, first time I had been back "home" in 20 years, completely unrecognisable!

I will try but don't hold out much hope. She likes her home brands from back in the Philippines.

What about peanut butter on toast, sprinkled with Sugar Puffs.

To be honest I would add a bit of Blue Stilton and Strawberry Jam underneath all that...

Served with an extra strong mug of Coffee!
