Any travel tips for Penang, Malaysia? Particularly what to see and eat. We'll be staying a total of 4 nights before and after our short cruise trip. We are mainly staying in Georgetown, in a lovely hotel called Campbell House.

We're also having a port call at Phuket and Krabi, any tips would be appreciated. Though we are only spending 12 and 9 hours respectively. Been to Phuket before but never been to Krabi.

Few years since I was in Penang, so I hesitate to make specific recommendations.

The food is very good, many different styles, so worth being brave and trying local foods.

Just remembered that I have a link saved, here it is -> the Tourism Penang website, Whilst the site has been rewritten since I last used it I think this is just what you are looking for.

The "Top 10 what to eat", "Top 10 what to see and do" and "Street food" sections give you a good overview, there is even a downloadable pdf.

I remember eating excellent Tandoori chicken, Tom yam, Satay with peanut sauce, Awesome Noodles, Biryani.

Loads of "culture" there, Little India, China town, best to stay around the central Georgetown area, just follow the guide maps.
