    :like:

We received Jet's Permanent residence Card on Friday.
That is a weight off our minds, now we are waiting for my stepdaughter's Residence Card and we will be ok.

The thing that baffles me is why the Permanent has a a 10 year validity stamped on it, but in real terms it is a full blown FLR...??

No need to do anything unless she is out of the Country for 2 years, in which case the whole process must start again...:erm:

No need to say that I am extremely happy.

Okay. :D Great news for you eh!

Whats the scoop with the 10 years validity stamp thing then? One has to question the wording eh?! For example, I often wonder what they actually mean by ILR. Indefinite doesn't necessarily mean forever.

I tried to shed some light on this 10 year stamp thing, but so far haven't managed to find anyone or anything that can explain it.

Tomorrow I will try to get someone at UKBA to answer a phone..........

Its all a mystery to me Dom.. So glad they have what they need though..
Also glad I`ll never have to go through this kind of crap ever again.
Makes me mad just thinking about it!!

Both cards were due more or less at the same time.

    EEA4 for Jet
    EEA2 for Jhera.

    I did 3 folders.
One for each of them, containing their applications and supporting documents, and one with all my supporting documents for the both of them.......

    Not rocket science really.....
The only snag, very small one tho, is that Jhera's application had to go to a different desk.......

It seems that they processed Jet's first, which was expected, so now it is only matter of waiting a while longer for the other one, and my pasport to be returned.

Keith, what the Permanent Card does, is that it allows Jet to travel abroad unrestricted and on her own, by not having to travel with me or to join me... Which suits us fine.
