    Welcome back, Mystica :)

Great to see you back here again.
This forum really does need women to post things ;)
There are far too many men-only ideas

I see your first post was in March 2020 referencing the divorce bill.
Maybe others will have more recent news on this.

Thanks Aposhark! I was just wondering where can I share this useful information to my fellow country people, so they would know that we have DIVORCE now in the Philippines, so they can get rid of their unwanted spouses!

No! there isn’t after that news, we all know that annulment cost fortune of money for those who are not aware, they will still go for an annulment.

The proposal as above has yet to be discussed and a decision reached by the Full house of the Philippines

Mattechube, It has been approved and my cousin already applied and under process. Also they are assisting divorce in my Uncle’s law firm too. It’s definitely faster and cheeper than annulment.

I was just thingking, my brother had an annulment and it does not show any marriages in his record with NSO when he got married with his second wife.
How hypocrite could it be? When Philippines is the only country before that doesn’t have divorce because of the Catholic church would not allow and approved it?
And yet divorce will remain on your record so they can find out you have been married before in your record.

Ah yes I see the movement 2 Filipinos cannot divorce, the move now seems to be that if a Brit and a Filipino divorced in the UK then that divorce is now recognised in the Philippines leaving both parties free to marry

A slight further move is where 2 Filipinos have naturalized in another country and divorce the divorce is recognised in the Philippines
