    Hi Guys! Good evening!

I would like to ask favor to you all to take a look at my Spouse Visa checklist and comment on anything that I may have missed out or any additional extra evidence that you may suggest. :)

We plan on submitting early January 2016, so i still have time to make this right and add! Lol

I'm in a state where I'm confused, excited and anxious. Lol:D

    Thank you in advance

    Spouse Visa Checklist:

    Applicant:
    1. Visa Fee -------------------- Check
    2. Nominal Fee -------------- Check
    3. IHS ------------------------- Check
    4. VAF - 4A ------------------- Check
    5. Valid Passport old & new ---------- Check
    6. 4 pcs passport ID -------------------- Check
    7. NSO Advisory on Marriage -------- Check
8.NSO Marriage Cert ------------------- Check ( Though there is an error in my birth date in the MC, it was wrongly inputted. We secured an Affidavit of Discrepancy for this. Do you think we would have trouble with of this)
    9. NSO Birth Cert ---- Check
    10. NBI Cert ----------- Check
    11. CFO ------------------ X (will get this once Visa is received)
    12. IELTS --------------- Check
    13. TB TEST Cert ---------- Check

    Sponsor:
    1. Photocopy Passport --------- Check
    2. Letter of Support ------------ Check (I told hubby to make it a bit cheesy, lol:D)
    3. Birth Cert --------------------- Check
    4. Mortgage Statement -------- Check (But the date is January 2015. Do I need to ask for an updated one? Hubby said statement is only given by every January of the year but I don't believe him. Lol)
    5. Cert of Employment ------- Check (But the date in the certificate is October 16, 2015? Is this okay or we need to get a new one? If yes, what date should it be? Does the "28 days before the date of application" also applies here?)
    7. ITR/P60 --------------------- Check (2 copies, years are 2014 & 2015)
    8. Sponsorship undertaking -------- Check (Date is October 2015, is this okay?)
    9. Payslips ----------------------- Check ( From Nov 2014-October 2015. Will also include Nov 2015 & December 2015) But...
    10. Bank Statements --------- Check but...

Questions: I'm a bit confuse where do the UKVI base their counting, "28 days before the date of application"....? Do they refer to the Bank Statements or the Payslips? Ex. Hubby gets his payslip every 20th of the Month. If we will apply on January, should we apply on or before January 15..? But how about the banks statements? Do they base it from the time you requested it from the bank?

    Proof of Relationship:
    1. Screenshot FB posts and comments (will print but also save in a USB stick)
    2. Plane tickets ( both mine and hubby's tickets - printed from email)
    3. Email conversation (will print but also save in a USB stick)
    5. Pictures ( 1st visit, 2nd visit, 3rd visit, 4th visit: selfies, pics with friends, pics with family, wedding pics. Approx 1000 pics in soft copy but will print hard copy of 300 pcs and will put in an album)
    6. Boarding passes
    7. Engagement Ring receipt (Should I include the GIA Cert?)
    8. Wedding Ring receipt
    9. Wedding Venue Receipt
    10. Hotel Bookings
    11. Whatsapp and viber Convo (will print 4 pages each month and will save also a complete convo in USB stick)
    11. Money transfer receipt (printed copy of Western Union Transactions)
    12. Agency receipt (we paid for an agency, but obviously I don't trust them anymore. Lol Should I include this?)

    Thank you guys!

I hope this are all enough, but I would really appreciate any suggestion esp on the evidences that would make our application solid. I'm very nervous right now. I can barely sleep! :(

    Thank you!

Bank statements are the date of the statement, not when ordered.

I would suggest ordering back statements then switching to paper statements now as they come on time then.

@Maharg, Hi! Do you mean the copy they send thru email, in PDF file and just have this printed? Do they consider this even if it wont be an original statement?

Sorry, I'm still confuse with what do you mean about the "date of the statement"? Can you give an example please?:)

@bigmac, so if i will save some evidences in USB the UKVI may not take a look at it? If yes, this is highly noted.

Reg the Sponsor's Birth Certificate... I got the spouse visa requirements from our agency. They included the Sponsor's Birth Cert in the requirements. Is it not?

    Now, I'm more confuse.:(

You need original statements sent through the post by the bank.

UKVI won't accept statements you printed yourself. They require it on bank paper.

A statement will have a date showing when it was issued (the date the transactions go up to) . The date of the most recent needs to be no older than 28 days.

What bank are you using statements from?

You need to switch to paper statements immediately, and order any older statements you plan to use.

Also, contact the bank and ensure you receive monthly statements.

Thanks for the reply @Maharg! :D

Hubby's bank is Barclays. I have told him about this and he said to request by December 3rd or last week so it would still within the "28days rule" if we apply before the 10th of January.

I am really confuse about this 28 days rule. So aside from the banks statments, what other requirements should be within the 28 days rule?

What do you mean? A statement order December 3 will not be within the 28 days if you apply on 10 January.

Plus, ordering statements can take time to come. If you have paper statements on they will come at a similar time each month and you know when they are coming.

Think in terms of the most recent transaction.

I get monthly statements. They go up to the final day of the month each time.

We just applied for FLR. The last statement went up to 31 October.

So we had until 28 November to apply.

If you are planning to apply in January there is still time to switch to paper statements and order previous statements.

He should do it immediately. It should be easy to do it on internet banking.

It is with Lloyds and RBS, who I use.

Oh no, hubby may not know that it takes time to order paper statement! He is actually coming here on December 20 and will bring all the financial docs with him.

So bottomline, as long as his bank statements are within 28days before we submit to VFS, we are still safe

Example, Banks statement date of issue is December 17, we need to submit within the 28 days? Did I get it right?

Sorry, I maybe confusing you now more than how I am confuse @Maharg

Hi, @bigmac, I think hubby signed up for a paperless bank statement. Maybe he did not expect he would be needing an actual paper statements in the future. If he only had, it would have come handy for us. :(

The most recent bank statement must be no more than 28 days old when the application is submitted on-line.

It's not about when you order them. It's the date the transactions finish.

If the statement ends at the end of November it won't be recent enough to have as a final statement in a January application.
