Polvoron by Goldilocks. 300g for £4.99

Whats this stuff all about? It doesn't taste that expensive. My wife bought some today (again). I recall she bought some before but I couldn't work out what all the hype was about.

Presumably nobody here rates it either. My wife thinks its great, especially the Goldilocks version.

It prolly reminds her of home. It's made of powdered milk, sugar, pinipig and some other stuff. It's pretty good and I guess when you are far away from home and miss it, you'll pay that much for something that costs less than 50p at home.

It comes across a bit like shortbread here. But not as good.

I think we spent about £30 on Filipino food products and some Belo soap yesterday. Didnt get a lot for it.

My Mrs, is more frugal when buying filipino stuff.
Apart from some pancit, pancit bihon and a few bits and bobs, to use when the barkada or the local filipino mafia gathers at my place, she doesn't bother much at all.

She is a bugger in buying chicharron, tho... Even if she has terminal tooth-ache............

Normally we would spend less than half of that £30 in a week. It was just one of those weeks and the Goldilocks Polvoron knocked it up a bit along with the bar of Belo soap. I do not mind too much as it gives her a sense of taste of home. And I don't hound her over it.
