A fascinating (long) series of youtube videos. My wife has enjoyed them as she spent the early years of her life in the provinces of Negros Oriental....

Below is one of many. :D

Yes, he does bang on a bit. It is a bit of a marathon. I was hoping his wife might have a bit more to say. Looks like he produced over a hundred youtube videos and still producing....

Just watched this one. My wife tells me that she lived like this in her early years before moving to Cavite. Her mother used to raise money for fish etc by walking for 2 hours into Dumaguete to sell farm produce (bananas etc).

These videos really do give me an idea of how she lived as a youngster.

Nice videos..Thanks for sharing... Nothing wrong with living a simple life.
See how they all smile? Even the girls in a bankrupt Sari Sari store?
    Wonderful.

John, I enjoyed that. Building a house in Dumaguete slowly but surely.
The soil is very fertile there, being a volcanic island so its worth growing fruit and veg.

Yeah. Watching the video(s) it kind of tells me that there should be no need for any filipinos to go hungry.

And yet there are 100,s of thousands of hectares of fallow land and vacant lots all over the R.P.
Never made much sense to me.
