Hi, I'm trying to book my mum's visit visa with VFS Manila but it keeps showing no available schedule.
Anyone experience this problem too? But if I try to choose VFS Cebu, there will be available dates.
Not practical to fly all the way to Cebu just to submit the documents eh?
They have new visa service website for visit visas, not the visa4uk, and it is also down for maintenance since last week.
Any other way I can book my mum's visa appointment? Do you have VFS phone nos?
    Thanks!

I was able to solve my own problem, lol, so if just selecting standard Visa there would be no available schedule.
So I decided to try to select Super Visa priority (additional Php 54,000) and Premium service lounge (addtl Php 2600) and viola! there are available schedules.
It's like VFS Manila has found another way to collect extra money :erm:.
In the end I decided to book the Premium service, so my mum will have a VIP treatment on her appointment.:)

The Government does say that the visa fees do not cover their costs, how true that is I do not know :)

ha--right. anything to do with the government--any fees are far higher than the private sector. £500 for same day FLR service is a complete rip off--daylight robbery.

Basically all you are getting for your £500 is that your application hits the case workers desk that day as opposed to gathering dust on a pile as with the postal applications.

I am guessing that our second FLR(M) in a few months will be a premium service like the first, just to get it done and dusted, I am not very patient and do not like waiting a couple of months for the decision :)

I would like to see one of the FLRs dropped, I do not understand why there should be two other than the obvious cash side of things, should be just one 5 year visa.

The second FLR could be replaced by a UKVI interview to show you are still together etc.

Wishful thinking on my part I believe :)

Yep. I was booking my online appointment 1 week ago and there is no schedule came up. So I decided to book the premium lounge which I thought they will not charge me. But then, upon lodging my docus the girl in the reception area put a stamped on my application states VIP, so they accompanied me att the lounge area and voila they charge me 2600. The things is theu will check your papers, free refreshments, free sms to know the status of your application real time, which is not so true as it ia my 4th waiting day haven't received any updates and free courier. Hope it helps
