http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-19018930 Now this is something that appeals to me, I have dozens of ideas and a couple of months solitude on a tropical island in my favourite country would be inspiring. I somehow don't think they are looking for an old decrepit bloke like me though
Older people than you have competed (and won medals) in the Olympics! But I know I am getting old when a friend of mine's grandson just lit the cauldron at the Olympic Games!
Go for it. Do not underestimate yourself. There is wisdom in age. The young ones needs the experience of the older ones.
I could not possibly go there without my family, wonderful dream though for a programmer I don't underestimate myself, I am at that age that I know exactly what I am capable of, I'm a little slower than I used to be and I'm not as technically hot as some of the younger lads and lassies these days but I find that I have more imagination than most in my industry, my problem is translating all of that into working products. My biggest weakness has always been marketing, translating good ideas into saleable products, wasted so many opportunities over the years Also Ana would kill me if I was in the Phils but not with her and the kids
