If in doubt, get one. CNI is a certificate of null impediment. You don't need it if you are marrying in the UK. If marrying overseas then you may need it. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/certificate-of-no-impediment-and-nulla-ostas
I'm 56 and never been married Timmers Proposed often enough but I was always turned down in the end, apart from Ana. And welcome to the forum Wolfie
It does Timmers, but I think you guys are right, we don't either of us need anything. I'm just being paranoid. I've just been in contact with someone who successfully applied for a fiancé(e) visa this year, his (now) wife had never previously been married, and they simply ticked the box on the form. No extra evidence provided.
Proposed to the same lassie three times, three times she accepted and three times she changed her mind, she was carrying my daughter at the time, that was 30 years ago, I spent the next 20 years doing my best to take care of them, but in separate households never got involved with anyone again until I met Ana.
The UKVI could very easily check if you had been married before, I'm sure of that, I understand what you mean about being paranoid, nota bad way to be when you are applying for a visa, a lot stands on it.
That's interesting, wonder why she kept accepting then changing her mind? As we know, the opposite sex have their own ways, had to be thoughtful of what I said there
She could not stand me for prolonged periods of time I'm not that difficult, but people have to gel to create a long term relationship. A good lassie though and still a good friend.
Lovely picture oss, your ex looks a really pleasant lady, good you're still friends, not many people manage to achieve that.
Sorry Wolfie, your thread and I am drifting it I apologise. I set that one up on a tripod processed the film and printed it myself at work, the digital conversion could have been better but I've always liked that picture Shona is a great lassie and has been a great mum to my daughter Gemma who is now grown up and is working as a high school teacher in a very good private school down south. Sadly only seen Shona a couple of times in the last ten years as she moved to Orkney some years back.
You must be very proud of your daughter, I know I would be. You look like a real ale drinker in the picture
Yes I am, proud that is And no in Scotland when I was growing up the beers were quite limited, as you no doubt know we have 60, 70 and 80 shilling ales, with the 70 shilling being generically known as 'Heavy', down here I drink mild usually, saying that up there most of my pals were real ale fans, I was at the time that pic was taken about 28 years old, a couple of years earlier you would have defined me as a hippy
