Earlier today I had the start of my travel injections/boosters. The nurse asked me to think of Rabies vaccinations, though that course is about £100..

What do you think the likelihood of me getting bitten by a dog whilst travelling around the Philippines?

Must admit I had thought about that quite often, but never actually went through with it.

I think it depends whereabouts in Phils you will be going and how likely to come by and dogs and how likely you are to get a bite.

Personally, I keep well clear of all dogs in Phils regardless. I have in my head (rightly or wrongly) that any dog at all that bites me will be rabid. I do know of three people in our close family circle that have had different animal bites. All have undergone a course of rabies injections, which incidently are not nice at all.

This one for me is always down to personal choice.

I think you would be wise to move to wales, albeit for a few days............:erm:

I didn't have to pay for my jabs... Or monthly prescriptions............
