Hi gudeve...one of my friend applied a student visa to uk long time ago and has been refused way back 2007 i guessed...she's planning to apply a visit visa and she's asking me if it will be traced...she received a refusal notice with a refusal ref. Number...will it reflect on her plans of applying...coz on the app letter there is a question on 6.3 have you ever been refuse a visa to any country inc.uk? Thanks guys

My understanding is that previous applications dont count against you. What does not go down well is if you try to hide a previously refused application. I believe they do keep records, yes.

If she was refused, she should state it in her application. If not, it will for sure count against her.

What was the reason for refusal? If she has met the requirements for a visit visa, it should be fine.

From what i know that wont count against her. :like: You ( she) just have to try and sure you meet the requirements next time around.
