    hello!

not sure if this is a silly one or not, but...

assuming all goes well with the final few documents, we'll be submitting the application for the UK spouse visa next week.

We've been doing this for so long and looked at so many pieces of paper at this point, much of the official mumbo jumbo is mostly a blur at this point so I'm not 100% sure if I'm remembering this correctly.

I seem to recall something which said I have to be in the UK when the application is first made online.

However, I'm going to be visiting my wife in mid december for xmas. If I am supposed to be in the UK (for whatever reason they give) at time of application, am I causing a potential problem by being in Manila while the decision is ongoing? Or am I imagining this entire "problem"?

You're imagining things, just relax

The application has to be made from the Philippines as in the missus not being in the UK, that's where you're getting mixed up

cheers. i could have sworn I saw something somewhere which said the UK partner (which of course is me) had to remain in the UK (or at least say they were going to be in the UK) on one of the forms while the missus makes her application from overseas but I guess I'm mistaken :)

    Thanks also to you, Bigmac!
