Maybe I missed it in your original post Frank but are you applying for a visit visa for her or a fiancé visa?
Hi,its a visa so she can live here, after we get married,i think its called a family of a settled person visa.
I am not "telling your lawyer" anything; he answers to you, not to me. Now I am not a lawyer but if I were in your shoes, I'd be applying (correctly) for a "Settlement, Marriage" (aka "Fiancée") Visa. I think you should apologise to BigMac, whose only crime was to ask you some basic visa-related questions, for your ill-tempered outburst.
First things to do before you even start to apply for your partners visa are that you have a suitable place to live, you have met in person and have proof of this, you and your partner is single and your partner can prove this, minimum earnings of £18,600 per annum, your partner has taken and passed ielts exam of minimum A1 level and had and passed a TB test at the only Ukvi approved centre in manilla. If straight forward standard application this can take from 60 days, longer if You don’t submit all the requirements or make a mistake in the application. If you pay priority there is no guarantee it will be done quicker and using an immigration lawyer does not guarantee getting a visa. If your already being told by your lawyer you need “family of a settled person” visa then your visa will be refused as it’s the wrong visa if applying for your partner to come and to marry you here.
did the site software **** out the word--or was it posted like that to avoid using bad language on here ?
You appear to have reached the extremity of your limited vocabulary. Any further repetition is both unnecessary and unwelcome.
With all due respect, this lawyer of yours, may have blinded you with his brilliance, but he seems to be doling out BS... I think you should have a read of the various .gov guidance sheets. https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa
Would it not be better to heed the advice of people who have gone through the process and not run the risk of being unsuccessful? It does seem that you may be about to apply for the incorrect visa.
If he has already paid through his nose for this lawyer of his, he will feel reluctant to admit that, maybe, only maybe, we could be correct. We are not here to make money off anybody, infact the advertising was disabled soon after we started. We are Just a bunch of normal people, trying to help each other to navigate the various hurdles that immigration keeps magic-king out of thin air...
I should clarify. If he did swear then the forum would have replaced expletive with asterix. Though a user could well have done that themselves. Edit: I just disabled the censorship, he did swear.
