    Hello Everyone..

I arrived in Manila earlier today feeling like rubbish:( though after 14 hours stuck on a plane I guess it takes its toll. And I cannot sleep on a flight no matter how hard I tried..

Had a headache, so after a light nap and some pain killers and plenty of water. I feel as good as new!

Joy.. What can I say. I had forgotten how much taller than her I am:eek: But it wasn't long before we bonded again (like seconds).

We had a meal in SM Mall of Asia, followed by a stroll and a few drinks on the beach walk (not sure what it is called right now) and enjoyed the ambience from the live bands out there... So far, amazing!

    Well, will check in tomorrow..

    :D

That's great Sean, glad you arrived safe, where did you go for dinner in Mall of Asia? I can recommend La Mesa as a fairly nice place to eat it's on the sea facing side of the Main mall on ground level, but of course there is so much choice there :)

The walk along the sea front is where my kids love to go to play on the slides and the various other playground things, some of the bands are are very good and I like a good few of the restaurants on the walk, that place is one of the main reasons that the old Bay Walk on Roxas Blvd got shut down they wanted to eliminate the Mall of Asia competition, but it's nice I wish I were there right now :)

The cinema's in the Mall are amazing and really cheap, make sure you get to watch a movie with Joy.

Well done Kuya. Safe and sound on arrival.

Me, I've always enjoyed MOA and make a visit each time I'm in Manila.
Loads of nice places to eat there.

I love that area outside MOA overlooking the bay. Just promenading, relaxing enjoying the view and people watching. It's especially nice at sunset and after.

Glad you arrived safely, but I am getting jealous now - warmth, walks and weddings! Please let us know of your experience in getting your CNI at the British Embassy.

C'mon now guys, you all know that the "bonding" was holding hands only - no PDA, remember? :vhappy:

Wedding rings first, then their first kiss :D

A word of warning Sean: after that first kiss, it's not so long before the nappies......beautiful Filipinas make beautiful babies! :vhappy:

I will be heading down to Cavite today to see Joy's brother and some inlaws to be..

    Should be a good day...

Oh, forgot to mention. After I logged in last night I made our engagement official as it were - with a ring.

Pictures will come soon... I've only tested the camera yet, was in too much pain with a headache yesterday to bother taking it with me.

Ah ok. Is that just for the time he's there do you know? I've thought about these apartments before but never known anyone to use them.

Congratulations. Looking forward to the pictures.

The first thing I did after slipping the engagement ring on my wifes finger was to fart!! Been holding it in for months, leaving the room etc. But as I said to her "now the rings on the finger your mine now!!" LOL

    Just while he's in Manila.

For me the cost of renting for a year always pretty much balanced out with the cost of a hotel for a few weeks, more so now as hotels in Manila are so expensive now, in the old days when I went over four times a year it was for about 80 days and I could get a good hotel for 20 quid a night, but now it's 5000 peso a night so even a 21 day trip costs more than my rent for the year.

Would never use a hotel again, unless I won the lottery :)

He got a smart head on his shoulders Mike, smarter than me by a long shot, I think we will see a well planned future from our Sean.

That is probably true if you are Manila based. We only spend a couple of days at the start of the holiday (to get over jet lag) and a couple of days at the end in manila so its not really worth it for us at the moment. So I don't mind paying for nice hotels.

    Hi Jim,
"Smart-ness" has never been a strong contender when faced with the pretty eyes and smile of a Filipina :D
Soft skin cuddling up to you and nice perfume........oooooooh ahhhhhhh
I'm getting the snip soon, I don't have the answer to that conundrum :vhappy::D:D
The amount of men I've met whose wife is on the pill and then a baby is on the way :erm:
I suppose it really depends on how much the wife wants a baby.

When I go to sleep every night with our "babies" in the same room, making their little breathing sounds it more than makes up for the madness that is baby screams in the night from Gregg, setting off Milyn so it becomes like a bunch of cats :vhappy::frust:
