hello guys! could anybody please give advice that i'll be able to tell to my friend? she arrived here almost 2 years ago and now holds a residence permit. unfortunately, it's been a great challenge for her to continue her career here in london. there are a lot of opportunities abroad in which she'll be able to qualify but i think that she'll be able to come back in london to her partner only once a year (annual leave given by company). they really worked so hard to get her here and be together but she's been really in a slump in her career. is there a possibility for her to get a job abroad and still come home to london with her residence permit? or would it lose its validity. thanks so much!!!

As far as I know, if it is a 5 years residence card, I believe 90 days absence per year are allowed before having to restart from scratch.
If it is the Permanent, one is entitled to stay away for a maximum two years in any one stretch. A day over and one has to re-apply from the beginning...
