‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ judge Robin Padilla demands contestant to learn Tagalog before talking to him.

He feels like an inferior no mark abroad so decides to teach a young Korean teen a thing or two at home!!
Local brave Filipino hero..His countrymen must feel so proud!

The amusing thing was his he spoke English with a strong Filipino accent.

Apart from that, I think Robin Padilla was justified in blanking a non Tagalog speaker (until the Korean could rattle off a few sentences). Vice Ganda had it right when he said "you have a social obligation to learn the Filipino Language." If the Korean has already learned English to a high standard, I think he would few problems with Taglish.

English is the Philippine's second language.

Robin shouldn't have shamed the guy by asking him to speak in a language he is not fluent.

Foreigners may use that as a justification. English is spoken in the courts and often used when Tagalog (and the other local languages) don't have sufficient depth for what they are talking about.

However, for the ordinary Filipino, Tagalog is far and away the primary language (and the secondary language for native Visayan, Kapampangan, Ilocano etc).

A young man living in the county for so long and not being fluent in the language is quite embarrassing.

Tagalog is not the countries national language BTW and if the use of English (Which is a national language) is not allowed by a contestant, then he should have been advised this and disallowed from appearing during the application process..
Instead of that, there was an attempt to humiliate him by an ignorant and arrogant clown.
He obviously knew how to speak some Filipino but was perhaps not confident enough to use it on a TV show.
Fortunately,he behaved impeccably after receiving the abuse from Padilla that made the actor look like a proper **** on national T.V!! lol.
Filipino`s that I know here thought Padilla`s behavior was shameful.

Excellent comment by another Filipino that I respect.
Asian culture frowns upon and is very uncomfortable witnessing a person lose face or shamed in front of an audience..
Padilla knows this but fortunately his attempt back fired..
    The guy has serious issues.
