goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood morning vietnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam got to be one of my all time fave films.
Very much loved for his genius at so many things - comedy, acting, screen writing and producing. One of the few that made it good on both TV and film. Even President Obama wrote (or his scriptwriter did) a glowing tribute within hours of his death... "Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan, and everything in between. But he was one of a kind. He arrived in our lives as an alien – but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit. He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most – from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets. The Obama family offers our condolences to Robin’s family, his friends, and everyone who found their voice and their verse thanks to Robin Williams."
The bosses wife was saying how he used to come over for their local highland games up around Ballater and took part in some of the cross country events. Long way to come for that. He must have enjoyed the ambience of the games. Seemingly he was good mates with Billy Connolly.
Brings back to mind other greats who left early, like Peter Sellers, and some who left late but were desperately tortured minds like dear old Spike Milligna (the well known......)
Very sad news. I'll always remember how my mother loved his films and TV show Mork and Mindy. I think he was her favorite actor!
