I'm little bit confused where to put that thread. Here in travel section or in relationships section, but you can always move it. :)

I think most (if not all) of the users of this forum are visiting Philippines to spend time with a Filipino partner. Quality time. Nice and warm time together. Time when they will be creating memories to talk about it in 10 or 20 or even more years in the future. Let's help them. Let's gather in this thread plenty of ideas where they can go to spend romantic time together. :)
Trips, restaurants, excursions, or something else. Anything.
Any advice will be nice. :)

I don't have much of experience yet.
Sun cruise is the only thing that I can recommend so far. It is a evening or night cruise in the Manila bay with nice meal and live music band inside. You can choose if you want to see the sunset or night with the moon and the stars.
I can't say much about the food because I don't eat meat and there wasn't much to choose for me, but my girl didn't complain so i guess it was acceptable. ;)

Come on people. Don't tell me that you don't going out for a dates. ;)

Next place I think it will be romantic and nice is La mesa - It is close to Quezon city in Manila. I can see on the map it is a quite big park and pictures that I can see on the Internet looks very nice. It looks like a very good spot to go there for a walk and have a picnic here. :)
Specially for a people like me who like wildlife and nature a lot more than a city life.

I'll tell you what we did when I used to go there. Basically we hired an apartment together and lived as though we were always together anyway, went shopping, went to restaurants, a couple of gigs or shows. Lounged around watching telly or going to the cinema. Swimming in the apartment pool.

Just normal stuff that we still do now every day. And it was, and still is, wonderful.

We're both into having an easy life! We did, at one time, consider visiting Corregidor Island for one time I visited, but when it came to it we both decided we were both happier doing sod all together!

And next place is of course intramuros - walk together through the streets of that old city holding hands and when you get tired go to the restaurant you find there for a refreshing meal.
Best time I think it will be after dark but I have to do some more research about that and make sure if it is safe. So far I think it is safe, but it is always better to make sure. ;)

Our "romantic place", and the one we cited as such in our visa application, would probably be Bonifacio High Street, which we always stayed in walking distance of on my later visits.

Plenty of restaurants there plus a nice grass area and water features. We loved it there and now have pictures of it up in our house.

Yes. This is a good thing to do as well. I thought about the same thing, but in my situation I don't think it will be a good and easy to do because my visits in the Philippines will be as often as I can to build a strong relationship and avoid long breaks when you can't see each other. So in my situation it will be like visit for a week every 2-3 months time. :)
Rent an apartment for a week I think is not easy because all rents are for long periods. :)

You can rent apartments easily. I always used Pearl Lettings, and they were good and reliable. http://www.pearlslettingagency.com/

I was the same. I went over every 3 or 4 months. One time I even went for a weekend! Three nights there and back home again. Still managed to get an apartment no problem.

    Thanks for good info. :)
Prices are little bit higher than the hotels I am using, but with your recommendation it looks very nice.
Everything is good and I can trust them right ? ;)
