My ex manager who took an early retirement last year passed away yesterday. As I worked under her guidance for 7 years she was like a mother figure to me but for last few years her health was not good and last year when she turned 55 I said to her to take the package and retire early. After 3 weeks of convincing she agreed and retired. And I got her post and I was happy about the pay package I got. But then I started feeling guilty about it and so in December I spoke to on the phone and told her how I felt and she told me that as I did anchorage her but end of the day it was her decision to retire. Last night I got a call from her daughter who gave me the sad news. Now I don’t feel guilty anymore coz of me she thought about early retirement and coz of that she could spend the few months with the family. RIP Margaret
That's sad king but it is good that she got a bit of time to enjoy life, none of us know when the curtain will fall.
