Good for her, she is the mayor and the sheriff ignored her order. The question should be why did he ignore her order to delay the demolition? who else was ordering him???

If I could vote she would it.
She has huge support in Davao.

the sheriff is under the judge's jurisdiction, not the mayor.. the sheriff's order is to do the demolish as the squatters have not vacated the area despite the negotiations..

maybe following his boss' orders was a mistake as he did not heed the mayor's plea to delay.. but the punching was uncalled for.. clearly an act of abuse of her power as a mayor.. she should've punched the judge and not a mere staff member who's only doing his job.. the judge was her relative (her hubby's uncle).. surely it won't take her too much to call the judge herself and ask him to delay the demolition until she gets there...

Thanks for the insight. It puts a different slant on the media hype. (as usual)
