Florge in the foreground on the left and hubby on the right. Sean with Al then Dom. Mrs Dom next to Florge. Me at the back on the left, the other couple I've forgotten sadly who they are. That was a very nice afternoon indeed. Was it that far back Al? good grief a long time.
Not sure John. Last reference on BF was in Dec 2013 http://www.british-filipino.com/ind...sine-ashton-under-lyne.2120/page-3#post-44261
Alan!!! I was planning to post this photo..lol... yes, cora's is still open although you would have to phone first if you want to visit.. which, reminds me.. joie and i are planning to go to cora's soon and would love to meet 'forumers' as well.. Sean promised joie to bring her there but never got to as he was in and out of hospital.. watch this space and i will post about this soon
Why do you have to phone? Are they only open occasionally. Like Howerd, I have tried phoning in the past and there was no answer.
Just located this thread. Am guessing that Coras only serves Filipino food on certain days or certain times or both. Hence the need to phone... http://www.british-filipino.com/index.php?threads/filipino-cafe.1135/page-3
I tried to phone so many times, to organize another meeting, I lost count... It was nice, and homely, and the food quite good. pity. The search goes on.
# She is also semi-retired and is away very often. She said that since she is the only one cooking, she can't afford to keep the cafe open the whole day every day (thus the need to phone).
Dom, it is best to contact her via mobile or thru her FB. She is in my friend's list (as you are) so you can ask to be added.. she can still remember you, I bet.
Spoke to Ate Cora. She said it is best to contact her thru FB. Just send her a message and arrange your visit.
