Made the jeremy vine show today little wonder she was deported. Out the country for 6 years over 2 periods. All very odd
Its all about getting to the nitty gritty, the media doesn't always tell the full story, at least with Jeremy Vine, he tends to dig a lot deeper to get to the truth. So, I think we can conclusively say that the UKVI made the right decision on this occasion.
I actually get very annoyed about people who flaunt immigration rules and then come up with a sob-story for the press. I think we all had to go through a lot of effort to get to the point we are all at now and I don't see why others shouldn't have to do the same. As long as someone qualifies through the financial requirement I have little sympathy for those who don't make the effort to do things properly.
We all bust our balls making sure we do the right thing for our partners, it's only fair that others do the route correctly too.
Just listening now on Listen Again. I see they've set up a Gofundme page to help with getting a solicitor to get her back. I think I'll start one too. My missus has to apply for ILR soon. It's dead expensive you know! She was here on a visitor visa and living here. They whole bunch of them made a right pigs ear of everything. If they were to hold their hands up and admit they were at fault I might have a bit more sympathy.
Their Gofundme page is nearly on £50,000 already! At this rate they'll soon have enough to apply using savings only.
To what will the crowd funding money be used for? So she can apply for a new flr (m)? Or appeal the case from outside the UK? Well, based on historical behavioral pattern, they might end up on the same route again IF anything is approved (ie end up ignoring the rules or violate the condition).
