I did notice a lack, or extreme shortage, of wildlife in while on my visit to Pinas, and only now after reading this disturbing article, I realize that the various jokes I came out with, about it, were, in a way, spot on the truth... But the sheer idiocy shown by shooting and eating such a regal looking emblem for the Philippines, shocks me immensely. And being so endangered makes things worse, in my mind. Hunger, I don't think, comes into the equation, in this case. Just ignorance and disrespect to nature.
