Hi guys. Yes, I know this subject has been 'done to death' so I'm sorry if this infuriates you. I am doing this because rates and fees change on a daily basis, so I just wondered if any of you are aware of any current good deals.

OK - here we go:- I need to send about £450 to Hanna either today or tomorrow. Usual question therefore - which one should I use?

At the mo. Western Union will charge about £15.

Happy new year to all - may your wishes come true in 2013 (although I don't think mine will. :( Gizza job!!!)

We still stick with Western Union, mainly because it is simple and reliable - the new rate of £14.90 is a big improvement on the old £27 and I assume the price cut is because of increased competition. Transferring to a bank account gets a better rate.

I recommend you to get a quote from Western Union, Azimo and World Remit and see which one provides the most bang for your buck! Remember if you use Azimo to use the code british-filipino to reduce the fee though!

This is ridiculous! Trying to use Azimo - their fee is £5 - when I enter the promo code - british-filipino their fee goes up to £15!!!!!

Worldremit will cost you 6.99 for that much Al and should pay out about 29000 peso at any Cebuana or M'lhullier pawn shop. They are all I have used this time to send money to myself rather than taking it out of an ATM, actually sent the money to Ana but it was effectively sending to me.

Sadly I have 8 days to go and am now almost skint :)

Thanks for that Jim. I DID use World Remit in the end - and Hanna got her money.

Must be a glitch. I'm sure Marek will update the code when he hears about this.

A bit late but we use PNB Europe if there is no rush and I just used western union for emergency transfer though the charges for transfer is considerabily higher than PNB
