Hi again BF friends! Hope all is well.

Just asking if you could help in finding info on how to send post cards to the Philippines. Sorry I have to ask, not really sure what to do. Is it the same way, go to the post office, buy stamps and drop the letter? Not used to drop it in P.O. boxes as we don't have those back home.

Sending mail to the Philippines is a bit slow, but best thing is to go to your local Post Office and explain that you want to send a card to the Philippines, they will help you.

Is it Christmas cards, if it is you might have missed the last posting date that would guarantee that the card would arrive before Christmas.

Thanks for the quick response @oss. Just want to send my family some post cards from our honeymoon. No rush that's why I'm not so worried about the timeline.

My experience of cards/letters to and from Mandaue.
Philippines to UK - about 10 days.
UK to Philippines - about 4 months!! (on several occasions.)

Its looking like posting pictures on Facebook and a quick write up is probably the best way of communicating your UK travels back to the loved ones in the Philippines :)

I've no idea why, but sending parcels (tiny boxes), padded pouches using royal mail arrive sooner than envelopes?

Yeah I've heard a lot of stories that it's way too slow. Snail mail, literally! Yeeeshhh....

That's very thoughtful Anne, nothing better than opening a parcel knowing there are goodies inside :)
