I posted a message a while ago asking if there was a large community in Bournemouth.. Since then we finally took the decision to move to Harrogate in North Yorkshire after we went to visit my cousins.. What a beautiful place this is and I just wish I came here a long time ago. I'm quite surprised that my wife (Cristina) has fallen for the place considering she's from busy Makati.. So.... it's really the same question as before, just a different area... Is there a Filipino community here in North Yorkshire? Gary & Cristina
Yes, lots and lots (and in the Leeds area)...also a Barrio Fiesta each summer, usually at Ripon Racecourse, just up the road from you, or York. I've been to both. Look for youtube clips. I'm sure there is a local 'social club' in the Leeds area, which you could google for.

I used to work at the Dept of Employment there. Some of my clients were happier than others...depending upon how long their Giro had taken to arrive.
