So easy to get distracted and be the victim of a crime. During my one and only visit to the Philippines I heard a murderer firing his automatic gun on New Years Eve when there were many fireworks being let off.

No-one believed me when I said there were gunshots. They all insisted it was just the fireworks. It was several minutes before the deadly attack was apparent to others at the hotel where I was staying. One man was murdered but the intended victim survived her injuries.

Like the Philippines, I have only visited Latvia once. My friend and I went to a cinema. Shortly after I returned home I learned that an off duty Policeman had shot another customer at the cinema because the customer made too much noise eating crisps!

A bit of a drastic solution, but understandable if no other option works...

Oh don't get me started Howerd :)

In my view that is a perfectly valid reason for murder, absolutely no problem in my mind, exterminate, exterminate ;) ahrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggg! :D

Seriously I have a huge problem with eating noises, I really want to kill the offensive b******, all my life I have had this problem, I used to tell my mother to eat quietly because I could hear the clacking of her false teeth.

It is strange, people chewing with their mouth open, especially chewing gum drives me nuts, the thing is it is not all the time, it is only sometimes when I am feeling vulnerable.

I have good days and bad days, at work I now have more people in my office, used to be just two of us but now I have new guys working and the room is usually very very quiet so any eating sounds are really obvious and the boss provides crisps, drinks and chocolate for free for everyone.

I know I am being unfair with this, people are people and these are natural functions that are required to live, but it is my biggest emotional hangup, I loved Ana so much because she actually understood my problem and accepted it when I had a bad day.

    edit:

Sorry Andrew, just realised this is very off topic.
