Wife submitted our application yesterday and the lady who's assisting her asked for her bank statements and payslips. Just wondering if you guys had similar experience to us?

Was it the spouse visa she applied for?

Your wife's job, bank statements and payslips from the Philippines are not important for the Spouse visa, it is your financial information from your job in the UK that will seal the visa.

Agree with everybody... the 'burden of proof' on the financial aspect lies with the sponsor..

Yes. Its just unusual for me to hear that they asked for her bank statement and payslip since nobody from here experience the same as ours.

I'm a little confused too why they would ask your wife if she has submitted her bank statements and payslips, I hope it was a misunderstanding and she was being asked about your bank statements and payslips

Yeah. That's why I called her straight away when I received the message from her after she lodged the application. Lady said that its incuded/written on the checklist that was given to my wife.
