More mistreatment, something we usual here about in the middle east but seems to be common here in Singapore too A Singaporean couple have been jailed for starving their domestic worker from the Philippines, in a case that has shocked the city-state. It is shocking, we hear about this sort of thing all too often, domestic workers are too much of an easy target. Some countries like Indonesia have placed restrictions on which countries their domestic workers can go to work because of this kind of thing, rightfully so in my opinion. I must say, I'm a little surprised this happened in Singapore but I guess it happens in a lot of countries including the UK.
