Wide dates often result in low prices, but thanks bigmac, it is showing a very good price for me for when I want to go over for my son's 10th birthday.
well--those are the sort of dates i'm looking at. just still waiting to see if theres a catch. also--i need to know what kind of visa i need to go over for those weeks--say 6 in all.
Go there and extend it at the airport on arrival, sadly I can't tell you where to go as it is now Terminal 3 instead of Terminal 1 and my own experience is out of date. What will matter is the time of day you arrive, if it is after 7pm you will be close to the BI office being closed and might have problems, but honestly extending at the airport is the easiest way to do it. you get 30 days on arrival now anyway and the extension puts it up to 59.
Yeah I checked the Manchester prices too, 400 odd when I want to fly, although I would probably choose Etihad at 520 ish rather than China Southern.
kingrulzuk said China Southern were ok, and we should take his word on that, but for me I still worry about the tiny carry-on baggage and the bad reviews of China Southern that make it sound like Ryanair or worse and flight crew that don't speak English (nah I will refrain from possible Irish Ryanair jokes here I was tempted ). Some of the China Southern connections take 35 hours or maybe more so you need to pick carefully, also you won't get these deals direct with China Southern so you have to book through one of the agents and personally I don't like doing that, but maybe I am being stupid and cutting off my nose to spite my face. Check reviews of China Southern, read as many as you can, sometimes good quite often bad, it is hard to tell.
Similar, http://www.airlinequality.com/airline-reviews/air-china/ however most reports place them as better than China Southern. edit: just checked the cabin baggage allowance, just as bad as China Southern
