i might sound be funny but i want to send a tin of quality street(weighted about 1 kls.including the tin back tot philippines and a 200 grams of coffee here from the UK..any idea the cost is lol am planning through post office do we need to provide the box for it or they
it would cost you at least 20 quid using Royal Mail. I did once, to send a mobile phone and a few sweets to make up the package weight, and in retrospect it wasn't worth it. Ideally if you have more patience to collect stuff to send over, you can always use LBC balikbayan boxes, they go Huge for only £55 or £65 to bisaya region.
thank you very , much for the reply is the post office provide box for our stuff to send over and that LBC..seems ideal too but how many kilos does it cover on that box?? i am sending in mindanao area
You have to buy the small post office box at the counter, or any office shops. In an LBC box you can stuff 80/90 Kgs or more, depending on what it is.
how long does the balikbayan box usually take Dom? might send one to Davao instead of carrying the stuff when I fly home this Christmas
oh wow hello FlorgeW sorry for intrusion of the conversation..i am from Davao ..as well what place where you from Davao?? i terriblly miss the hometown
Normally it will take a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks, as it travel by sea. Air freight is a hell of a lot faster, but it is also a hell of a lot more expensive...
Last parcel I sent was with DHL, it cost £50 to send and arrived within a week. Though, there is no chance I would send cheap items when it is costing so much just to send them...
I guess you can use My Hermes. They offer very good parcel delivery service. I’m rather satisfied with its quality.
They may be very good at what they do nationally, but am afraid that they don't deliver outside of the United Kingdom yet, and this includes the channel islands, situation which I find ridiculous.... And delivering to the Philippines is definitively out of the question for them, as it appears from the website.
That reminds me... Better send a Valentines day card today if it hs any hope of reaching Cebu before the 14th
Are you rather satisfied with the quality of its deliveries to the Philippine islands 7500 miles from the UK? I think not
Al! oldham athletic supporter? cool! watched a game there once... they won! i was their lucky charm.... LOL
