I think its a case of "some of the lies they tell aren't true"

90% of UK tourist visas being granted has got to be total rubbish, I can believe that 90% of wealthy Philippine tourist visas are granted, as for the lone Filipina/Filipino applying for a visa to come and visit their loved one.......... no chance, no chance at all.

All stories like this will do is boost the UK governments bank balance with people applying for visas thinking it will be granted.

Sadly it is a very misleading news article.

Looks like it's a visa agency trying to get business. I wouldn't trust them based on that statement.

I did realise that, but they are mentioning an obscure Government statement, without a relevant link...

There may be something in that..

Three holes in the ground? :D

You have to feel for people using these services, you call a company sporting a great website online, who's to know they are incompetent or illegal.

I think before using any services as shown you should do a little online research to try and foresee any problems.

I have posted about these two immigration firms before. One barrister linked to this scam is currently facing multiple charges at a number of disciplinary tribunals but the fraud continues.

One has got to admit that it does sound slightly far fetched tho...

    Virtually unbelievable.

i dont know about visit visas---but i could well believe most settlement visas are granted--IF the applicant / sponsor meet the criteria .

what has the UK got to lose ? NO recourse to public funds { including social housing i imagine } for 5 years.

how much in fee income over the 5 years-?-well over £4 grand for a fiancee visa.

probably the majority will be skilled--and looking for well paid employment generating lots of income tax and VAT.

and of course--anyone foolish enough to apply without meeting the criteria are simply donating nearly £900 to the UK economy---for nothing.

I really cant get my head round this one, if I was a betting chap I would wager everything I own that the information is construed in such a way as to hide the real facts.

I would really love to see a breakdown of those figures to see how they arrived at 90%

I truly do not believe it as Victor Meldrew would say :)
