    Hi everyone,

Currently I am on spouse visa. Myself and my husband got a mortgage. Now we are purchasing a property using Help To Buy scheme. As my visa says “no recourse to public funds”, who knows if I am allow to use Help to Buy please?

    Thanks!!!

Does this scheme involve using public funds? Is it a means tested benefit?

Most help to buy are privately run schemes between the builder and the buyer, who owns the property,is it a new build?

Public funds usually are means tested benefits such as income support or housing & council tax benefit . For folks on low incomes or small savings.

Then there will be no public funds involved in the purchase. Enjoy the new home
