    Application submitted online - 27 Feb - 2018
    Biometrics taken at VFS Manila - 09 -Mar -2018
    Documents to Sheffield - 10 - Mar - 2018
    Acknowledgement e-mail from Sheffield - 05 - Apr - 2018
    Orignal documents returned - 18 - Apr - 2018
    Projected timeline given: 60 working days
    Decision made email : None
    VFS text : 07- June - 2018
    Passport delivery date : 08 - June - 2018 / Visa Approved :) Thx God!
    Vignette valid from : 12th June - 12-July
    61 working days from biometrics.

    @Mr & Mrs G after your excitement has quietened down a bit--maybe we can discuss the successful child visa ? only several of us have been refused and are considering re-applying or an appeal. any information will be very usefull.

    Im not sure we can offer any insight. The father left prior to birth and is is not on the birth certificate. We didn’t need to provide any further evidence.

    Thanks to everyone for the congratulations. My thoughts are with those who are still waiting. It was one of the most stressful experiences I’ve been through, and our application was very straightforward.

    (Unfortunately) I have heard it said that they tend to have a more favourable stance when the dependent child’s settlement visa application is made at the same time as the mother’s settlement visa application.
